Wahiba Chair, BSc., MBA: Founder and CEO
Wahiba Chair is a technology entrepreneur. She holds a Bachelor of Science in computer engineering and MBA from Simon Fraser University (thesis was “PortaLife Business Plan”). Wahiba has a strong passion for using technology to help people lead healthier lives. In 2007, the nascent CarrotLines project was awarded the BC Innovation Council MBA Access to Commercialization Scholarship. In 2009, Wahiba was one of the top 16 candidates (amongst 5,600) to take part in StarsOfScience –a TV Reality science competition. Her multimedia experience rooted at the American Red Cross in 2002 when she acted as project lead for an interactive CD to educate one million Bay Area Residents on disaster preparedness. In the last couple of years, she engaged in obesity research with the Canadian Institutes of Health Research (Metabolic and Nutrition Unit) and acted as a health reporter for the Epoch Times International. Wahiba has been a member of the Canadian Obesity Network (CON) since 2007.
