Important CarrotLines Announcement
You may be wondering what has been happening with us. Our blog hasn’t been updated for a while and we haven’t made any appearances at events we usually attend every year.
The truth is – we have been taking this time to figure out how to take CarrotLines moving forward.
Though we have enjoyed much success in the past few years working closely with Canadian Fitness Celebrity, Tommy Europe, to bring you a top 10 Canadian health & fitness app, connect you with a community of over 100,000 monthly active health enthusiasts and food brands such as Nature’s Path Cereal, Enjoy Life Foods, and Holy Crap Cereal, it has also been quite a challenge and learning curve.
We have bootstrapped our way through the building of this company, received funding from government grants and competitions, but it just wasn’t enough to sustain the day to day operations and growth that we had foreseen ahead of us.
As you may know we built the largest (to date) Canadian foods database and this requires a lot of maintenance and hard work to keep it as complete and up to date as possible for your standards. Yet with all of our efforts, we still receive inquiries from people with allergies and intolerances that find our app helpful but wish we had more product coverage in their region.
This is why after much thought, we have decided to discontinue our app and look into a new direction.
Much of our strength and success has come from our community – our community of users, Carrot Love ambassadors, and partners who have made this possible. And we could not have done this without you.
So, what will happen to CarrotLines?
For now we will discontinue our app and community outreach efforts with minimal online brand presence. We are actively seeking opportunities to make CarrotLines a part of a bigger story with the help of one or more strategic partners. Only the future will tell what CarrotLines may end up pivoting into, but for now we are very proud of what we have built and would like to thank you for your continuous support.
